Will Young’s intimate homecoming at Newbury Corn Exchange was a night of acoustic music and conversation

There was a second West Berkshire homecoming this weekend as Will Young performed at Newbury's Corn Exchange.

It was a night of ‘joyous pop’ at the sell-out gig on Saturday night, but our photographer Phil Cannings was given special access to capture the moment.

Fans enjoyed an intimate evening of acoustic performances, stories and conversation promoting his new album, Light It Up.

Will Young – who is originally from Hungerford – is touring the up close and personal event following the release of the album in August.

He was supported at the Newbury gig by Maddox Jones.

And for those of you who may be wondering and may have missed it Newbury Football Club also returned to action in the town on Saturday.
