Feast of summer fetes in West Berkshire today (Saturday)
A live fire rescue display, dancing, and a hawk display will be amongst the entertainment at this year’s Mortimer Fun Day.
The free annual event will be opened at 10.30am, with a number of displays in the main arena, including a dog show and Punch and Judy.
There will also be activities for children and adults, including zorbing, trampolining, and an assault course.
Later this morning the Thatcham Park School summer fete will open, which this year has an Olympic theme.
The festivities, including sporting challenges, a nail bar, stalls and refreshments, start at 11.30pm and go on until 2pm.
At midday the Lambourn School parents-teacher association summer fete will start, featuring the Garston Gallopers, maypole dancing, and a children's treasure trail.
Later this evening there will be a Bhangra disco at Trinity School, Love Lane, Shaw, which starts at 7pm.
