Feline fine at new Pamber Heath 5 star cat hotel
PAMPERED pets in Pamber Heath and the local area can lap up a life of luxury at a new five-star hotel for cats.
The state-of-the-art Longcroft Luxury Cat Hotel, believed to be the first in Hampshire, is run by Lia Davies from the grounds of her home, situated on the edge of Pamber Heath.
Facilities include six thermostatically-controlled suites with garden and play area and a gourmet ‘A la cat’ menu.
Meals are served on best china crockery, with food dished up to music, and there are also personal grooming sessions and wrought-iron designer cat beds with soft pillows.
Four-legged guests can even send their owners ‘Feline fine’ type updates and photographs while they are away.
The hotel was officially opened recently by the deputy mayor of Basingstoke and Deane, Anne Court, and Julie Guy from the Cats Protection charity in Basingstoke.
Ms Davies said she adopted her first cats, a pair of sibling kittens when she bought her first home, and had “been smitten” ever since.
She said: “We provide strict standards of hygiene and cleanliness, but also comfort and care in a home-from-home environment.
“I totally understand how important it is for owners to have a guilt-free break, knowing their cats are receiving a firstclass service.
“We have been overwhelmed with the response and I am delighted to have bookings as far away as Christmas next year.”
The opening day also proved to be a big success with more than 100 guests enjoying Prosecco and cupcakes in the sun.
