Felix is feline fine after 40-mile van trip
Two-year-old household puss Felix went missing from his Maidenhead home when he snuck into the back of a removal van headed to the Audley-Inglewood retirement village, Kint-bury, last Wednesday, and bolted from the vehicle on arrival before he could be caught.
Felix’s owners Mark and Anita Sunthankar and their friends spent 16 hours over the following three days searching for him, during which time they posted a number of ‘missing cat’ flyers around the village.
They finally received the good news on Saturday after Felix was caught by Kintbury Parish Council clerk Christopher Trigwell and his wife, Rosemary.
Mr and Mrs Sunthankar had not told their son, Tyler, aged six, that Felix was missing.
“We just can’t say thank you enough.”
Mr Trigwell said the couple saw Felix run across a road in Kintbury and recognised him from the flyer sent out by Mrs Suthankar.
“My wife was able to coax it towards her and pick it up,”he said. “It was a pleasure to find him.”
