Newbury Artisan Market: Christmas Edition 2023 coming to Northbrook Street on December 16 and 17

A festive edition of the Newbury Artisan Market will be taking over the town centre this weekend.

The two-day Christmas extravaganza is a free event that will feature an array of stalls selling artisanal products ranging from intricately designed jewellery to mouth-watering seasonal treats.

The market, taking place on Northbrook Street on Saturday and Sunday (December 16 and 17) between 10am and 5pm, will also feature a funfair for children to enjoy.

Newbury BID operations manager Alison Drummond said: “We’re thrilled to present the Newbury Artisan Market: Christmas Edition for 2023.

“This event marries the beauty of uniqueness with the warmth of Christmas, creating an experience that is both heart-warming and inspiring.

“We invite everyone to join us for a weekend of Christmas shopping and festive joy.”

There will also be free bus travel across West Berkshire on Saturday, December 16 to make it easier for residents to get into Newbury town centre.

The next event to take place in Newbury this Christmas is Last Minute Late Night Shopping with Mr Grinch, on December 21, from 4pm until 7pm.

The event marks another free to attend experience organised by Visit Newbury and shoppers are being encouraged to help Newbury stop Mr Grinch from stealing Christmas – while picking up some last minute gifts.
