Festive glow spreads across West Berkshire

The festive cheer began in Pangbourne where villagers turned out to support their community during the six month closure of the Whitchurch Bridge.
Local organisations set up stalls in the village hall and the sounds of Christmas were carried on the air by Pangbourne Silver Band.
The lights were switched on by local actress Patricia Loveland and businesses stayed open for later to bring in the festive shoppers.
Theale twinkled into life on Saturday when Father Christmas dropped in to turn on the lights and deliver presents to children.
Hundreds of villages bustled around High Street to look at the 14 stalls and the village's annual Best Dressed Christmas Window competition was won by The Cutting Room, which featured a live display of two girls in festive attire.
And than 200 people gathered to watch Beenham’s Christmas tree lights being switched on on Sunday.
The evening started with a candlelit procession from St Mary's Church to reach the tree outside the community room, where complimentary mulled wine and mince pies were served by the Women’s Institute and friendship group.
Guests were also treated to a BBQ and some festive music, before five-year-old Eddie Richards counted down to the switch on.
The night also proved to be a special one for nine-year-old Connor Cranfield, who won six tickets to go on the London Eye for correctly guessing that there were 650 lights on the Christmas tree.
