Kennet Centre Vaccination Hub taking walk-ins on final day as centre prepares to close indefinitely

The Covid vaccination centre in the Kennet Shopping centre will have its final clinic of the year today (Thursday).

The Kennet Vaccination Hub is “taking a break due to low remaining demand in the current eligible cohorts for a Covid vaccination”.

Walk-ins are welcome all day, with eligible candidates for a vaccination being anyone who still needs their first or second boosters, anyone who is pregnant, anyone who lives in the same household as someone who is severely immunosuppressed, those who are frontline workers, carers or healthcare professionals, anyone aged 50 or over, and anyone who is aged between 16 and 49 and is clinically vulnerable.

The hub has also stated that it will be re-open if/when it is advised to do so.
