Newbury’s Comedy Network kicks off this week
THE Corn Exchange Comedy Network season kicks off again at 8pm on Friday (February 9).

Travis Jay:
Following sell-out shows, Travis made his Edinburgh Festival Fringe debut in 2019 with his show Funny, Petty, Cool which achieved widespread critical acclaim and recently supported Britain’s Got Talent golden-buzzer winning comedian Kojo Anim.
Travis has appeared on shows including Stand Up Sketch Show (ITV2), Mo Gilligan: Black, British & Funny (Channel 4) and Comedy Central Live (Comedy Central).
Alex Kealy:
Alex reached the final of the prestigious So You Think You’re Funny competition in his first year of performing and is now a ‘rising star of the British stand-up scene’ (The List). He has played packed rooms at Edinburgh Festival Fringe and his writing work includes Mock The Week (BBC Two), and The News Quiz (Radio 4) and The Now Show.
Sarah Roberts:
Sarah is a writer and stand up comedian who is a BBC New Comedy Award nominee and finalist at the Komedia and Leicester Square Theatre New Comedy Awards. She is also the writer, director and producer of the short film OnlyFran.
Julian Deane:
Julian is an award-winning British stand up comedian and writer who has won the ITV Stand Up Hero and the Laughing Horse New Act of the Year competitions. Julian has appeared on The Russell Howard Hour (Sky One) and supported Paul Chowdhry on his world tour. He has written for Never Mind the Buzzcocks (BBC Two), Mock the Week (BBC Two), Matt Forde’s Unspun (Dave) and Morgan Spurlock’s New Britannia (Sky Atlantic).
Julian also hosts the Two Vegan Idiots podcast, with fellow comedian Carl Donnelly.
