Fire at cricket pavilion




Crews sent to blaze at Bradfield Southend this morning (Wednesday)

FIRE crews from Newbury and Reading attended a blaze at a cricket pavilion in Bradfield Southend this morning (Wednesday).

A pump from Newbury and Reading fire stations received a call to the fire at 4.13am and used two main jets to extinguish the fire, which was put out at 5.17am.

A spokeswoman from the Royal Berkshire Fire and Rescue Service said shortly afterwards: "At this time it is unknown if arson is suspected. A re-inspection will take place after 9am this morning."
