Fire crews called to electrical blaze in Sulhamstead

Fire crews were called to a fire caused by power cables in Sulhamstead.

The incident happened at 10am on Wednesday, September 4, on Shortheath Lane.

Royal Berkshire Fire and Rescue Service sent crews from Theale and Mortimer fire stations.

When they arrived at the scene, they ascertained the blaze was caused by the cables at an electrical installation.

They put the fire out, and then damped down any potential hot spots in the nearby verge.

In all, they were on the scene for just over an hour.
