Fire crews called to electrical fire in Hermitage




An electrical fire in Hermitage needed a response from Royal Berkshire Fire and Rescue Service.

They sent two crews from Newbury Fire Station to tackle the incident at Marlston Road.

The alarm was raised at 11.32am on Friday, September 13.

On arrival, the teams found an electrical pole was on fire.

They put the blaze out and waited for an engineer to attend.

In all, they were at the scene for three-and-a-half hours.
