Fire crews rescue person from rooftop in Russell Road, Newbury




A person has been rescued from the rooftop of a building in Newbury.

Fire services were called to an incident in Russell Road on January 16 at 11.54am.

Two Royal Berkshire Fire and Rescue Service crews from Newbury Fire Station and an officer were sent to the scene.

Upon arrival, crews discovered an injured person in need of rescue from a rooftop.

Firefighters rescued the person before placing them in the care of South Central Ambulance Service.

Crews were at the scene for approximately 45 minutes.
