A cordon is to remain around a Theale business park as firefighters watch for potential further explosions
FIREFIGHTERS will tonight (Monday) remain at the scene of a fire in Theale which earlier caused more than 100 office workers nearby to be evacuated.
A Remote Operated Vehicle robot (pictured) from London Fire Service was used to inspect an Acetylene gas cylinder, which became overheated during the fire at Alan Hadley Recycling and Waste Management in Kennet Weir Business Park at about 9.15am this morning.
Immediately after the fire a 200 meter cordon was enforced, which saw Arrowhead Road, Brunel Road, and Waterside Road all closed.
A 50-metre cordon will now remain in place and crews will continue to monitor the cylinder overnight.
