Fire extinguished at three-storey building in Hutton Close, Newbury




There was a fire at a three-storey building in Newbury on Wednesday (January 3) at around 7.12am.

Royal Berkshire Fire and Rescue Service received reports of the blaze in Hutton Close.

Crews from Newbury and Theale fire stations were sent to the scene.

Upon arrival, crews discovered a fire on the ground floor of a three-storey building.

Firefighters equipped with breathing apparatus used a hose reel to extinguish the fire.

They were at the scene for around one hour and 30 minutes.
