Tadley Fire Station hosts over 60s Christmas dinner




More than 100 elderly people attended Tadley Fire Station’s first over 60s Christmas dinner since 2019.

The dinner, which took place on December 17, had guests enjoy a two-course meal, refreshments and mince pies, as well as music from The Noisy Neighbours Ukulele Band.

In a Facebook post, the station thanked all helpers, supporters and donators, which included Lidl, Chitty Farm, Tadley Town Council and Loddon Valley Lions.

A station spokesperson said: “We hope everybody that attended enjoyed themselves and we hope to see you in 2023.

“Sorry that some of the crew had to run out part way through, we were called to assist with a complex house fire in Basingstoke.”
