Mortimer Fire Station warns public to avoid woodland between Burghfield and Mortimer following large blaze

Mortimer Fire Station has asked that people avoid the woodland area known as Holdens Firs following a blaze on the weekend.

The large fire took place in the area of woods between Mortimer and Burghfield on Sunday.

The station said that there will be fire appliances and crews from Englefield Estate working today (May 9) to make the area safe.
