Firefighters battle Crookham Common barn fire containing gas cylinder

Ellie Gray, a spokeswoman for the Royal Berkshire Fire and Rescue Service, said one fire engine from Newbury Fire Station and another from Tilehurst - a total of ten firefighters - were called to the incident at 7.22am, at a barn in Crookham Hill, Crookham Common.
Approximately ten per cent of the 40m by 40m barn was destroyed in the fire, and the barn had contained a liquified petroleum gas (LPG) cylinder.
Ms Gray said the cylinder was made safe and firefighters used two sets of breathing equipment and hosereels to tackle the blaze.
No-one was hurt and the incident was closed at 8.23am.
