Firefighters battle house fire at Hungerford converted barn





A spokeswoman for the Royal Berkshire Fire and Rescue Service, Ellie Gray, said four pumps were called to the house at 7.24pm to Strong Grove Hill, and from Tilehurst, and Whitley Wood, along with pumps from Hampshire and Wiltshire and an aerial appliance.
Two hose reels, two roof ladders, two triple extension ladders and a thermal imaging camera were used to battle the blaze.
The fire was confined to an area of the roof measuring 5m by 2m.
No-one was hurt.
The cause was believed to be accidental.
The incident was closed at 9.31pm
