Firefighters battle to cut free car passenger in Pangbourne




FIREFIGHTERS from Dee Road station in Tilehurst spent an hour and a half cutting a passenger out of a vehicle which had flipped over in Pangbourne this afternoon (Wednesday).

According to Rob Read, crew manager of White Watch at Dee Road, two fire engines - one from Dee Road and another from Caversham Road in Reading - and a total ten firefighters were called at 3.15pm to Bowden Green after a Ford KA had overturned.

“It overturned on an 'S' bend,” said Mr Read.

One person trapped inside the vehicle was taken to hospital after the incident with possible concussion.

The incident was closed at 4.45pm.

Police and ambulance services were both in attendance.
