Firefighters called to tackle Newbury house fire

FIRE crews were called to tackle a boiler cupboard blaze in Newbury last night (Sat).
Firefighters from Newbury and Dee Road attended the fire on the first floor of a property on Lamtarra Way at 8.15pm.
Watch manager at Newbury Fire Station, Martin Doolin, said crews were on the scene for around an hour and a half and used a hose reel and extinguisher to put out the fire.
He added that no one was injured.
