Firefighters called to Thatcham flat fire

Spokeswoman for the Royal Berkshire Fire and Rescue Service, Nicole Targett, said crews from Newbury and Kintbury were called at 3.53pm to a fire on the second floor of a flat, in Rotary Way.
The small fire, in a hallway, was discovered out on arrival, with the occupier out of the building and unhurt.
The cause was not known.
Firefighters left the scene at 4.14pm
