Firefighters called to Travelodge in Newbury





Two pumps from Newbury Fire Station were called at 8.41am to the Travelodge off the A4/London Road, after a report of smoke issuing from the roof.
Part of Park Way was closed due to the incident (pictured).
Update 10.10am
The Royal Berkshire Fire and Rescue Service (RBFRS) confirm the fire was in an electrical intake on the roof of the Travelodge.
Four firefighters wearing breathing apparatus extinguished the blaze with carbon dioxide extinguishers.
The incident was closed at 9.45am and the Park Way has since been re-opened.
