Firefighters' charity engine pull from Silchester to Tadley

Support their efforts along the way

Hampshire firefighters are hoping to garner lots of support along the way, as they pull a fire engine all the way from Silchester to Tadley on Saturday morning for charity.

The firefighters will pull the engine for two miles from the Calleva Arms pub in Silchester to Sainsbury’s Tadley branch, in Mulfords Hill, via Pamber Heath.

The total distance will be broken into four half-mile pulls, with changeovers at the Pelican pub in Pamber Heath and the Broomsquire Hotel, near Tadley.

Places on the pulling crews are open to businesses and members of the community, on the condition that they raise a minimum £50 in sponsorship.

The pull is in aid of The Firefighter’s Charity, and to sponsor the firefighters’ efforts, visit the website www.justgiving.com/Tadleyfireenginepull.
