Firefighters from three counties were involved in a Hungerford river hunt involving search lights, during the early hours of this morning (Fri),
Crews from Newbury, along with colleagues from Wiltshire and Hampshire, were called to the River Dun in the town, shortly after midnight.
Fire crews wearing dry suits and using radios searched up and down the river, following a report that someone was in the water.
A person was subsequently found on dry land and was believed to have been unhurt, according to firefighters at the scene.
Thames Valley Police (TVP) also attended the incident.
Firefighters left the scene at 3am.
