Firefighters from two counties battle North Sydmonton blaze

Large mobile agricultural shed destroyed

FIREFIGHTERS from two counties battled a North Sydmonton blaze yesterday (Wed) evening, which razed a timber outhouse to the ground.

Two pumps from Tadley and Basingstoke, plus a further two pumps from over the Hampshire border, were called at 4.58pm, to the Adbury Road, where a mobile agricultural shed, made of timber, was well alight.

Two firefighters wearing breathing apparatus extinguished the blaze using three hosereels.

No-one was hurt.

The shed was completely destroyed in the fire.

Firefighters remained at the scene damping down and searching for any remaining hotspots, before departing at 17.54pm.

The cause of the fire was recorded as accidental.
