Firefighters prevent Wickham rubbish fire from spreading

Firefighter Simon Denman, of Red Watch at Newbury Fire Station, said one pump was called at 7pm from the station to Mant Close, where household rubbish had been set alight in a field.
Firefighters extinguished the blaze with a hosereel, preventing it spreading to a hedge.
The incident was closed at 7.30pm by the Royal Berkshire Fire and Rescue Service (RBFRS).
