Firefighters release casualty trapped in Calcot collision

Spokeswoman for the Royal Berkshire Fire and Rescue Service, Ellie Gray, confirmed two pumps, from Tilehurst and Caversham Road, were called at 8.36am, to the Bath Road, outside the Calcot Hotel, following a collision between a car and a motorcycle.
Firefighters used airbags to release one casualty from a vehicle.
The casualty was then left in the hands of paramedics at the scene.
Firefighters left the scene at 8.57am.
Update 11.35am
Thames Valley Police confirm police were called at 8.31am to this collision, involving a VW Golf and BMW motorcycle.
The road has been re-opened and no-one was seriously injured, according to police.
Update 12pm
South Central Ambulance Service confirm a man in his 40's was treated at the scene, before being taken by ambulance to the Royal Berkshire Hospital in Reading.
