Firefighters tackle kitchen fires in Frilsham and Membury Services

Watch manager of Green Watch at Newbury Fire Station, Richard Young, said two pumps were called from the station at 9.05am, to Wellhouse Lane, Frilsham.
A pan had been left on the hob and caught fire, causing the house to be smoke logged.
The fire was out on arrival and firefighters ventilated the property and left the scene at 9.45am.
Then at 11.30am, the station's Green Watch crew manager, Barry Whiting, said one pump from Hungerford and another from Newbury were called to a reported smell of burning in the kitchen of Kentucky Fried Chicken (KFC) at Membury Services, off the M4 near Hungerford.
After lifting rooftiles, firefilghters then tracked the cause of the fire to an overheating fusebox and isolated the electrics before departing the scene at around 12pm.
