Fireworks fiesta to light up your Saturday
Thatcham's free firework display will take place at the Thatcham Memorial Playing Fields from 5pm tonight.
Organisers have requested that spectators arrive by 7pm in order to allow the display to begin on time following a short delay last year.
There will be a bucket collection at all gates, with members of the British Legion also on site collecting for the Poppy Appeal.
A funfair will be sited on the West Berkshire Council car park on Brownsfield Road.
A firework fiesta will be held at Pangbourne Primary School, Kennedy Drive, which will include a bonfire, barbecue and bar. Tickets cost £10 for adults and children aged over 12 years or £30 for a family ticket. Gates open at 5.30pm.
Lambourn's Community Bonfire Party will ignite at 6.30pm at Lambourn Sport's Club. The bonfire will be lit at 7pm with the fireworks launching at 7.30pm.
Bars will be open throughout the event and people are asked not to bring sparklers.
Tickets cost £10 for families on the gate, £3.50 for adults and £1.50 for children.
Hermitage Primary School's fireworks, laser show and bonfire will also be held tonight.
The event, held at the school organised by the school's Parent Teacher Association, will also offer hot food, cakes, and a licensed bar.

Tickets cost £6 with free entry for those aged under four.
Fireworks fun continues in Kingsclere on Saturday, with a bonfire and fireworks display at the Fieldgate Centre, organised by the Friends of Kingsclere School to raise funds for Kingsclere Primary School.
Gates open at 5.30pm and the firework display starts at 6.30pm (no pets or sparklers allowed). Refreshments include a barbecue (vegetarian option).
Tickets cost £5 in advance for adults or£7 on the day. (Under 16s £3 in advance/£4 on the day). Pre- school age children free. Tickets can be bought from Swan Street Stores, or the primary school.
St Martin’s Primary School’s family bonfire night in East End also takes place at the school on Saturday. Gates open at 5.30pm, with the bonfire at 6pm.
Burghclere and Newtown Women’s Institute are hosting a massive autumn jumble sale on Saturday afternoon. Browse clothing, books, white elephant stall, household items and home-made cakes. Refreshments available. Anyone with jumble can call Nick Battle on (01635) 44602, or Mike Faiers on (01635) 278248 or take it on the day to the Portal Hall, Burghclere between 9am and 11am. The sale opens at 2pm and admission is 30p. Proceeds to Women’s Institute funds.
The south England and Hampshire strongest man competition takes place in Silchester on Saturday. Competition entries cost £20 and can be accepted on the day, with around 100 entries so far. The event is open and free of charge to the public. The competition takes place from 9am to around 4pm at Optimal Gym, Ash Lane, Silchester, RG26 5FL.
This Saturday 8 November, there will be a Newbury Antiques Vintage and Collectors Market being held from 9.00 am - 3.00 pm at the United Reformed Church Hall (down alley opposite Marks and Spencers). Admission 50p. Refreshments available.
The Ranger's Seasonal Walk will be held between 10.30am and noon at Snelsmore Common, Wantage Road. The minimum age for people attending is five-years-old and suitable clothing must be worn.
There will be a Morris Dancing workshop with the Garston Gallopers; starting at 2.30pm in East Garston Village Hall.
Newbury Chamber Choir will be performing Mozart's
at St John's Church, Newbury, from 7.30pm. Tickets cost £15 and those under 19-years-old getting in for £5. Tickets are available from the Corn Exchange, the Newbury Tourist Information Centre and on the door.
