First Great Western staff to stage 48 hour strike




Vote held following concerns over cuts to jobs, services and safety

FIRST Great Western staff are to strike for 48 hours in July.

The National Union of Rail, Maritime and Transport Workers has confirmed that workers will walk out over cuts to jobs, services and safety.

Staff will take 48 hours of strike action by not booking on for any shifts between 6.30pm on Wednesday, July 8 and 6.29pm on Friday, July 10.

In addition there will be an overtime ban from 6.30pm on July 10 until 11.59pm on July 11.
