Flood alert issued for the River Kennet

The Environment Agency said that water levels on the River Kennet have been rising slowly throughout yesterday in response to recent rainfall.
These levels are expected to continue to rise today (Friday) and marginal flooding of low lying land and roads is expected, especially around Theale.
However, property flooding is not currently expected.
