Flood warning for River Pang
Heavy rainfall in West Berkshire has led to rising river levels, expected to increase today (Tuesday)
A FLOOD alert for the River Pang has been issued by the Environment Agency after heavy rainfall across West Berkshire.
The stretch of the river running from East Illsey to Pangbourne and Sulham Brook is affected, which takes in Compton, Hampstead Norreys, Frilsham, Bucklebury, Stanford Dingley, Bradfield and Tidmarsh; and the Sulham Brook from Theale to Pangbourne including Sulham.
The Environment Agency said levels in the river are slowly rising, and the river has spilt into the floodplain in the Tidmarsh area.
River levels are expected to continue slowly rising today (Tuesday), although no property flooding is currently expected.
The MET Office said the rain is expected to clear by this afternoon to leave a mainly dry day.
