Newbury flooding: Road closures still in place across West Berkshire after last week’s floods




A number of roads remain closed today (Tuesday) in West Berkshire following the severe flooding on Friday, writes Ruby Wheeler.

It is uncertain when they will re-open.

The roads affected by the flooding have been listed by West Berkshire Council (WBC).

They are:

St Mary’s Avenue, Wintringham Way and Chestnut Grove, Purley

Main Roads through Eastbury both sides of the River Lambourn

Berrys Lane, Kirtons Farm Road and Anmer’s Farm Road, Pingewood

Hanger Road and Dean Copse Road, Sheffield Bottom

Sulhamstead Hill Sulhamstead at A4 junction – NOW REOPENED

Two Rivers Way, Newbury

Crookham Hill, Thatcham

Ufton Lane, Ufton Nervet

Northcroft Lane, Newbury – NOW REOPENED

Reading Road, Burghfield – NOW REOPENED

Burys Bank Road, Greenham

Bucklebury Ford, Bucklebury

Wantage Road, Lambourn

Winterbourne Road, Winterbourne

Milkhouse Road, Newbury

Station Road, Kintbury

WBC said it is unsure as to when the water levels will drop and the roads can reopen.
