Flooded Superdrug keeps pharmacy open
Newbury store maintains partial service despite water problems
FLOODING has forced Newbury's Superdrug store in Northbrook Street to temporarily close today (Friday).
However, staff were still able to accept and dispense prescriptions from the front door.
A sign posted outside said: “Due to flooding in the shop we are unable to open as normal. However the pharmacy is open for prescription collection and drop offs. “Should you require advice from the pharmacist please feel free to request for the pharmacist. Sorry for the inconvenience and we hope to resume business as normal tomorrow”
Store team leader Craig Foster said the store had been experiencing problems with flooding for several days and added: “We're expecting Thames Water to come out this afternoon.”
