Flooding closes A34 near Newbury between M4 junction 13 at Chieveley and A339

Flooding has closed a section of the A34 and is causing severe delays.

The A34 is closed in both directions between junction 13 of the M4 at Chieveley and its A339 turnoff.

Traffic is being diverting up and over the junction via the exit and entry slip roads.

There are currently delays of 30 minutes against expected traffic.

It is not yet known when this section of the A34 will re-open.
