Mad Hatter Floral Design opens in Aldermaston

A new florist stocking British and seasonal flowers has opened in Aldermaston.

In an official opening ceremony, Mad Hatter Floral Design at 23 The Street was opened at 10.30am on Saturday, February 26, by ward councillor Dominic Boeck (Con, Aldermaston).

The flower shop, which was located in Beenham for two-and-a-half years, moved to Aldermaston in the hope of making it more visible to customers.

Owner Kerry Thomas said the move felt like the shop had come home, as several of her family have lived in Aldermaston for many years and she grew up in nearby Wasing.

The shop owns an acre of land just down the road where it grows its own flowers which helps cut down on importing products and ensures it provides a tailored and home-grown service.
