Florist's business blossoms once again

Jo O’Brien is selling flowers in Woolhampton again after her previous business, ‘Flowers at Tudor Cottage’, was flooded in 2007.
Mrs O’Brien has teamed-up with the owners of the Village Shop Woolhampton, Ros and Elliot Wright, to create a traditional community shop selling home-made produce and fresh flowers.
Speaking at the opening on February 1, Mrs O’Brien said: “It’s lovely to be back and I’m so glad that people in the village remember me. I’ve had a few orders already and the shop has had a good response from the village.
“I am really excited about joining Ros and Elliot at the Village Shop. I love what they are doing and I am very proud to be part of it."
Mrs O’Brien’s new business, West Berkshire Flowers, can be accessed via the gate to the right of the village shop, which village shop owners Mr and Mrs Wright say sits behind the shop like a secret garden.
Mr Wright said: “We’re a traditional village shop and we had space for something quite unique. We’re going from strength to strength here and we’ve been well received by the village.”
