Folk, jazz, rock fusion

Mawkin fuse folk, jazz and rock to create their cutting edge sound, which also captures the sounds of traditional world music.
The band has been together for a decade, progressing their music while still honing their musicianship.
Mawkin have released several albums which explore both new sounds as well as ancient folk tunes from around the world, with hints of jazz and rock.
They have toured across the UK and Europe, and supported big-name artists, including Eliza Carthy, Billy Bragg and Show of Hands.
Mawkin are David Delarre on vocals, guitars and banjoy, Jamie Delarre on fiddle, Nick Cooke on melodeon, Danny Crump on bass guitar and Lee Richardson on drums.
They will perform at the Norden Farm Centre for the Arts, Maidenhead, on Saturday, August 4, from 8pm.
Tickets cost £13 (con £11) and can be booked by calling the box office on (01628) 788997 or online at www.nordenfarm.org
