The £40,000 grant will allow the association to install solar panels on the Stacey Pavilion.

Silchester Village Hall also benefitted from the fund, receiving £30,000 to complete a toilet refurbishment project.

These were two of the 14 organisations that received a share of the £300,000 community infrastructure fund helping them to improve their premises for users, increase income and reduce costs or make environmental improvements.

The 2024/25 scheme will launch this summer with a larger pot of £500,000.

The fund will be open for proposals from June.
