Footpath near Trinity School closed following sexual assault

NewburyToday received a report from a member of the public at around 2.50pm yesterday (Thursday) that police were at the scene and not letting the public through the footpath, which leads to the park area.
Thames Valley Police confirmed this morning that officers were investigating a report of sexual assault.
Police say that at about 7.30pm on Wednesday night (February 19), a woman reported that she had been sexually assaulted after she was approached by a man on a footpath leading from Church Road.
Police closed off the footpath yesterday as part of the investigation.
