For once England does not expect as their Euro 2012 campaign starts today (Monday)

Little is expected of England in the tournament, with their first game coming against one of the competition’s favourites, France, in Donetsk at 5pm today.
The game is the first competitive match for new England manager Roy Hodgson, who has seen his side win two friendly games in the build up to the tournament.
A number of pubs in West Berkshire will be showing the game, including The Lion, West Street, Newbury, who have two big screens for the game, as well as other smaller TVs.
Also making preparations when contacted by Newburytoday.co.uk was the Hogs Head, Wharf Street, Newbury, will also be showing the game on a big screen, as well as Paggies Bar in Kingsland Centre, Thatcham.
Compton’s Theo Walcott is vying for a place in the side, but many pundits believe the 23-year-old will have to settle for a place on the bench in England’s opening game.
Following tonight’s game, England will play Sweden in the Olympic Stadium, Kiev, at 5pm on Friday, with their final group game against Ukraine in Donetsk at 7.45pm on Tuesday (19th).
Will you be watching the game? If so send in your photos of you in the front room, in the pub, in the street or anywhere else for that matter and we will feature them on Newburytoday.co.uk and in the Newbury Weekly News.
