Former Superdrug store in Northbrook Street could become flats




A former high street store could be turned into flats.

West Berkshire Council has approved an application by Rosedale Property Holdings for prior approval to convert the former Superdrug store in Northbrook Street into four two-bedroom and three one-bedroom flats.

The proposal also includes adding new balconies, alterations to elevations, bicycle parking and refuse facilities.

The council determined prior approval was required for the transport, noise and flood risk impacts of the development.

It gave its permission, subject to conditions including that a construction method statement for the building work and a flood response plan be submitted and approved before any development can take place.

It also required a noise mitigation scheme.
