Four actors: 12,059 parts

They said it couldn’t be done;
they said it would be an impossible feat,
but they didn’t reckon on the dramatic bravery of Patrick Barlow and Sean Foley!
BEN HUR with...
no more than four actors playing twelve thousand and fifty-nine characters;
some of the greatest action in fiction including a sea battle (with real water);
the recreation of Ancient Rome (no expense spared);
an unexpurgated and authentic Roman orgy (suitable for all ages)
a sensational live chariot race (with real chariots)
Seeing is believing!
Patrick Barlow, passionate about Ben Hur for many years, secretly harboured a desire to turn it into a stage play. When he approached the producers of his internationally successful THE THIRTY-NINE STEPS (seen in 26 countries) they laughed at the thought and immediately said let’s do it. Catch it at the Watermill from Friday, June 22 to Saturday, July 28.
