Four new deputies for Lord Lieutenant





A director of the Newbury Weekly News, Charles Brims (pictured) was High Sheriff of Berkshire from 2012 to 2013. He is a director of three media groups, chairman of an independent brewery and a director of Greenham Common Trust.
Appointed an OBE in 2011 for his services to industry, Christopher Dodson is a company director and chairman of the Mortimer Technology Group which won a Queen’s Award for Innovation in 2010.
Khan Juna was chairman of Thames Valley Police Authority from 2008 until 2012, having been a member since 2003.
Brigadier Stephen Matthews was Commandant of the REME Training Group from 1999 until 2002. He is currently chief executive of the Chartered Institution of Building Services Engineers and is involved with the Army Benevolent Fund.
Mrs Bayliss said that the skills of the new deputy lieutenants would strengthen the Lieutenancy, which also comprised a Vice Lord Lieutenant and 30 Deputy Lieutenants.
“I congratulate them on being awarded this honour and I look forward to working with them in the future,” she said.
