Four prepare to walk the 100km walk

The four women will set off on the 100km walk on May 12 and are already in training, making good use of the hill at Donnington Castle.
The four – Alison Poulton, Nicola Payne, Salma Cherry and Sarah Roche – decided to take up the challenge because all their lives had been touched by cancer.
Mrs Poulton said: “All of the team has known someone that has been affected by cancer in some way. In supporting Macmillan Cancer Support it provides us with a great opportunity to both recognise the work done by a fantastic organisation and to give something back.”
Starting in Richmond, on the banks of the Thames, the team will travel across bridleways and national trails, traversing the North and South Downs before arriving at the finish in Brighton.
They hope to raise £1,500.
