The Southern Counties Farming & Machinery Show coming to Newbury Showground on November 15
A brand-new, free farming show will be coming to Newbury this month, writes Harry Craig.
The Southern Counties Farming & Machinery Show, taking place at Newbury Showground on Wednesday November 15, will bring together agricultural manufacturers, suppliers, dealers and distributors for the one-day event.
The show has been deliberately scheduled outside of the spring, summer and harvest seasons, allowing agricultural workers to attend without the high pressure of the agricultural year.
Creator Kelsey Media, publisher of some of the UK’s top farming magazines, promised that the show would be a “valuable networking event for everyone involved in farming, agricultural transport, contracting and farming-related activities”.
This will include demonstrations and exhibits from the likes of Chandlers, Farol, Kuhn, Openfield and OMEX, bringing together a range of construction and outdoor power equipment as well as the latest livestock and arable machinery.
As well as offering the region’s farmers a chance to chat, make contacts and network, seminars will run throughout the day on topics including grain marketing post-CAP, red diesel rules, crop nutrition and agricultural robotics.
There will also be a live auction featuring several hundred lots, including tractors.
Tickets to the event are free and are available at https://rebrand.ly/8in6nvm
The show is sponsored by Samagri Ltd, and will run between 8am and 4pm on Wednesday, November 15.
