The PFT Academy will be providing Parkour and free running workshops and demonstrations for ages six and up at Bishop’s Green Village Hall in Beech Road from 11am to 3pm on August 15.

Places are limited and must be booked in advance.

A Maximum Play session will allow children to use their imaginations and roleplay jobs such as a builder, a farmer, and a chef.

Dressing up items will be provided for this.

Children can also participate in in carnival-style games such as hook-a-duck, and try their hand at giant-sized Jenga and snakes and ladders games.

These activities are free, and full details can be found at www.LoveBasingstoke.co.uk

The borough council’s cabinet member for sports, leisure and culture, Cllr Kerry Morrow, said: “The Summer Fun programme offers so much for children this summer.

“Children will be sure to find something new to try while getting outdoors this summer.

“We hope the summer holidays will be full of sunshine, but we would encourage everyone to check Love Basingstoke’s social media channels for any last-minute changes.”
