A winter wonderland: See all the photos from West Berkshire and North Hampshire as snow and ice sweep the area




Winter certainly arrived with a bang last week.

Small piles of snow were still lingering, as cold hands were scraping the thin layer of ice from car windscreens yesterday (Monday) morning.

Although now creeping slowly back up, temperatures had plunged to as low as -5 last Friday as icy winds and snow brought freezing weather across West Berkshire.

It is January, so we shouldn’t be too surprised that it’s turned a bit chilly.

But even so, the cold snap was still a shock to the system!
