Zoë’s passion for dance takes her from student to mentor
DEPARTING NOCTURN founder John Darvell has expressed his enthusiastic backing for former student Zoë Wheeler's take over of the dance group.
Zoë's dance journey has taken her from an enthusiastic participant to a confident leader as she assumes the role of dance teacher of NOCTURN’s very popular adult dance classes.
With a childhood passion for dance, Zoë immersed herself in various styles before finding her true calling in contemporary dance.
For more than a decade, Zoë wholeheartedly embraced adult community dance and her connection with NOCTURN held a special place in her heart.
Now, with founder John Darvell's departure for pastures new, Zoë steps into the lead Newbury dance classes, ready to inspire and empower participants.
“I am very much looking forward to carrying on John’s legacy and to sharing my love of movement in a way that reflects all that I have gained from being part of the NOCTURN community for so long,” she said.
John has “ utmost confidence” in Zoë, saying: "It's a joy to see Zoë taking over the lead of the sessions. Her dedication and passion for dance align perfectly with the ethos of our company."
Beyond dance, Zoë “finds joy in her roles as a mother and wife”, where she shares her love for the arts with her husband Ben, a talented photographer.
