'From the bottom of our heart, thank you' from Hermitage Coffee House

To mark the closure, owners Beryl and Richard Pocock invited their customers to join them for a day of free food and drink to say thank you for all their support in the 30 years since the cafe opened.
Mrs Pocock said on Monday: “It was absolutely brilliant. It went over and above any expectations that we had.
“We were overwhelmed with all the support and the good wishes.
“Thank you seems very inadequate but from the bottom of our hearts it was absolutely wonderful, our thanks go to everybody.”
They were also presented with a photo album, put together as a surprise by the cafe staff and compiled over the past six months.
Since opening, staff at The Coffee House, based at the garden centre on Prior’s Court Road, have raised more than £18,000 for the Thames Valley and Chiltern Air Ambulance (TVACAA), and last month they presented their final cheque of £1,000 to the charity.
In the New Year, a new cafe will open at the site, which will be owned and operated by Hillier’s Garden Centre.
